written on the newspaper?
I took all the time copying the numbers down hoping I'd found some kind of amazing secret leading to the meaning of life or something but I can't find anything :(

Verzinsky responds:

Thats the meaning of the game indeed. Is just a code.

The art is great, but the lack of any sound or music is a bit jarring. It's understandable that this game is limited by being made in such a tight time period, but it would definitely benefit from something to flesh out the periods of moving from one interactive item to the next. The setting design was great, and created a vivid imagery of where the game takes place. The player's lack of autonomy helps us empathize with the character's frustration and passive resignation to their situation. It would be better if there were more depth to the character to allow the audience to, putting it bluntly, care about what happens to the characters. I have to say it again because I love it so much, the art and animations are fantastic! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Have you read Maus? The use of a mouse as the game's protagonist was an instant giveaway for the theme. In fact, during my first playthrough, I was struck by the fact that the character with the gun was a dog and not a cat. I love that the game asks for the player's interpretation (and would be curious to see what variety of answers you got), but the parallels between this and a very widely read piece of literature on the Holocaust were perhaps too strong. Not sure if this was your intention. Lovely art. Nice choice of background music (eerie in a subtle way). Still wondering about the numbers in the newspaper.

Not exactly a game, but nice experience. Nice art, for a 48 hours project! I saw a mention in the comments, are there multiple ending?? If so, how do you get to them since there's absolutely nothing you could do differently?

So... I started the game, got to the newspaper, accidentally left fullscreen, thought of restarting the game to get back into fullscreen again, Couldn't play as it was asking me question "what do you think this game is about" which I didn't know because I haven't really played it. And I was stuck in that loop.
