Reviews for "Super Mario Bros. Z (Episode 1)"

Right in the 'stalgia.

i like the remix of the mario theme tune

First time back in a few years, nice to find a familiar video. It's so well improved as well. Looking forward to more.

I helped vote in an episode of the original run, back in the "flash"era.

This is one of the most amazing things in the entire world to me. I loved the original series, and this takes it to a whole new level. It's beautiful, it's exciting, and I love every second of it. I still watch it daily on YouTube. What I think would be the next step to take for episode 2 is to make the sprites more complex, especially in closeup shots, because when they were right in your face, they were hard to look at because of how pixelated they are. And this is a normal thing you see in full on animated cartoons. When you get a closeup shot, they put more detail. That's one way, and in other cases, you can do the hand-drawn shots, which accomplish the same matter. Even the hand-drawn shots (a couple of them) were a little pixelated though. If this is fixed in the second episode, then this will be just perfect in every way imaginable! Oh! One last thing: in order to make it so that the credits animation isn't as obscured, make it so that all credits fade in and fade out, instead of them appearing and disappearing instantaneously. And it was great how you credited Monty Oum ad that other guy at the end, but seeing real faces is jarring with animation. There's still an authentic value to having their heads there, but again, fade in and fade out. You never actually get to even see the last chaos emerald appear on screen. Those are the only peaces of criticism I have. You can't improve perfection.

i actually loved the original and i was pissed when it stopped even tho it was legitimate to do so, fans can be nightmares, and to si it reborn makes me very happy.
although i think the simplicity of the original gave it charm, the intro is awesome and the rebooted episode has great qualities
in all cases, Alvin-Earthworm please keep having fun, i cant wait to see when the other episode will come out :)
