Reviews for "PokeWatch"

That was one completely insane crossover.

lol thats amazing dude, and this video was a crossover between Pokemon and Yo-Kai right?
have u played the game?
because i think that i might buy it because it has positive reviews, so if u played it u might share ur opinion about the game

JumpNJetz responds:

Its not Pokemon that's for sure and you really cant compare it apart from the monster collecting portion of the game. If anything you can compare it more with Digimon than Pokemon in a sense.

Battles are in real time and while the idea in Pokemon games is to choose the right moves against the right types, in this game is choosing the right Yokai that work together in battle. The Yokais attack by themselves, but only you can activate their special moves by completing a WarioWare type of mini game. You have 6 Yokai in your team and you can switch them in real time using the touch screen. One of the things I do enjoy is how intense a Boss battle can get, you will be switching Yokais, doing Special Moves as fast as possible so that you can Purify your Yokai ( Basically is like being paralyzed, you have to remove the condition yourself ) while also worrying about keeping your team healed up by switching to a healing Yokai or using an item to heal. While Pokemon is all about the training portion and making sure your Pokemon has the best stats and moves to go with it, Yokai is that as well PLUS being fast and skillful as well, its actually a nice change of pace in this type of RPG game IMO. Yokais have evolution by leveling up like Pokemon, but the thing you will be doing the most is fusing them together to make more Yokais. When Yokais evolve or fuse their special abilities are completely different from before which makes every Yokai useful depending on your strategy, you dont need to evolve them to their final form to have a powerful team. I did notice that playing the Yokai Watch demo didn't really do justice to show how good it is so don't base your opinion on the demo, it's actually a really bad demo of the game.

Anyways, If you feel like Pokemon is getting stale now-a-days I would suggest giving the game a try, if only to put a little more pressure on Game Freak's end to release a new game and not take away features like customizing your trainer, secret bases, pokemon following you and other stuff that is removed from games on purpose so that people ask for remake of those games. If you want to get the best enjoyment out of Yokai Watch then just wait for Yokai Watch 2, that one has online play, online trading, even more new stuff and when I feel more people will actually give Yokai Watch a try here in the US.

I hope this was useful and can help you make an opinion! Also, glad you liked the animation! :D

I looked up YokaiWatch a week ago and it seems like another disappointing Poke'clone to me. I laughed when Gold kept shouting "Fuck him up! Fuck him up!"

if yokiwatch and pokemon combined! Our world will be really screwed up.

This is some seriously good animated comedy! XD
