I think, at first, this animation gives off an unoriginal impression, as some have, I believe, mistakenly categorized this. I could understand how someone might complain how they've "seen this before." But I think it's real easy to miss the fact that Hood-Boy animated this -entire- thing himself--he didn't merely insert the characters into a preexisting animation! The fact that this looks EXACTLY like the intro to Batman speaks clearly about Hood-Boy's animation skills, as well as his attention to detail, not his ability to rip off other ideas and make unoriginal content. With his level of skill, could he create something truly original? Sure, but that doesn't seem to be his goal here, so let's not bring irrelevant points to the conversation.
I've seen plenty of other "parody" animations, where the author tries to do something similar to what Hood-Boy's done by switching out characters or changing the environment slightly, etc., but nothing I've seen in a long while comes close to the accuracy captured by Hood-Boy's homage-of-sorts. I had to watch this animation a second time, just to make sure I wasn't making crap up, but this really -does- do the original justice (no pun intended--though, in retrospect, I wish I had...) in its authenticity!
I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, but I would bet if you placed this cartoon up next to its source material , you'd notice a striking similarity (other than the obvious differences due to the differing characters).
So stop hating, dust off the ol' cranium for a change, and do -try- to put more careful thought into your reviews. At the very least, be -fair-.
