nope. absolutely terrible.
tons and tons of situations where i followed instructions perfectly and game just errored and errored and finally killed me.
example. i had a 358.
there was no black cable around the outside edges of the box. so i hit sb5 then sb1 and got an error. that was about the point i lost patience with this bad game and submitted this review.
If you want to play a game that involves reading instructions and learning to read/execute them quickly, this is actually a good game. I won all the difficulties at least once within an hour, so it's not that hard.
My only issue is that Easy is actually pretty hard because some instructions can be completed in a few seconds while others can take a minute or more, especially on your first few tries.
Pro tips:
1. I used four tabs to look at the instructions on a separate webpage next to the game:
-bomb diagram (shows you what part of the bomb is what, worth looking at closely)*
-bomb/fuse panel serial numbers.
-First page of 'Instructions By Code'.
-The other, higher code number instructions. This I do the most scrolling around in.
*On easy, the name of bomb components shows when you hover over them with the mouse.
2. By "don't pull/plug-in the antenna when the LED is lit," it means wait until the white light turns off (it blinks slowly), then yank it out/push it in.
3. It takes perseverance to know the bomb well enough to defuse it correctly and quickly, same can go for effectively reading the instructions, so keep trying if you're in it to win it.
Amazing game, not sure if the game has some bugs or if i misunderstood the manual. Anyway, i loved the concept of the game, played several times with my gf until she got mad at me yelling instructions to her. 5/5 would play the finished work
I was playing hard and I got 26281 so I followed the directions all the way to step 3. I checked my serial number and it was type a so I removed the antenna and guess what! It blew up. This game has game"bombing" bugs and I would give it a better rating if this didnt happen. Otherwise it was Great
Obviously all the people giving it no or low stars complaining about the instructions being wrong or not applying didn't read the instructions. At the top of the instruction booklet it clearly says:
"If a step cannot be performed (a component is missing from the bomb or is already in the state you are supposed to set it in) then skip that step."
and
"If the instructions contain only steps that cannot be performed press SB4"
etc etc.
So ignore the low ratings that say stuff like that and just follow the instructions in this BOMB DEFUSAL GAME. Reading the instructions is pretty important for bomb defusing, I'd imagine.
