Reviews for "Amazing Escape Grave Yard"

I want to like this because I know you worked hard on this and drew everything yourself, but I can't. This wasn't an enjoyable experience like a game should be. It was filled with a lot of frustration. I couldn't even finish it without a walk through, and in my opinion, that's when puzzles are too tough.

First of all, that 109 code made absolutely no sense to me. I didn't see it anywhere in the level. It seemed implied from the walk through that you get the code from Joe's headstone but I have no idea how you got 109 from 1786-1895. It doesn't make any logical sense to me.

Secondly, that ghost that comes out of the middle headstone who you later have to give a heart to later on? That threw me off track too. I had no idea what to do with the heart because when I clicked on the headstone early on in the game, and the ghost flew away, I thought he was gone for good. I thought the purchase was just for a small scare to younger audiences. The ghost honestly should have stayed there, floating above the headstone, even if you left the screen. That way players will know they have to do something with the ghost, and that it wasn't just a one-time animation to watch.

Lastly, and most importantly by far, the pry bar was wayyy too small in the distance. It's barely noticeable. In fact it practically blends in with the stone wall, almost tricking the eye into thinking that's what it's apart of. Likewise, the 32537 code was even worse. The lines are so tiny and so close together. I can make the 3 and 2 out, but not the rest. Everything looks blurred together for me. I have bad eyes, so I know it probably effects me especially, but surely other people must have had an extremely difficult time making those numbers out too. You need to make the font bigger. There's no reason to make it that tiny!

And so that's why my time playing this game was not enjoyable. I hope you understand and don't feel offended by my criticism. At the same time, I hope you will take what I said into consideration and make some changes to this game to improve it.

"I can't read this tombstone clue, I can't read it, I can't *ding* Aha!"

Another fun little game with that familiar feel.

What a good game.

Not good, but not bad.

Good:
1. Length
2. Music
3. Medals
4. A few of the puzzles, such as the 5 letter puzzle and 3 number puzzle

Bad:
1. Game was too simple overall. Nothing that stays with you long after you play the game.
2. Most of the puzzles were too simple and easy.

Ugly:
1. Too much pixel hunting, the pry bar was tiny, as was the Morse code clue
2. Hard to navigate with the narrow border bars and the game window is small already
3. Linear and too obvious use of objects

Overall, an average Newgrounds game.

I liked it, like most of your games. I'd have to agree that the pry bar was a little difficult to find, but the puzzles were fun.
