Reviews for "Launch"

Wow, voice acting is really good, music is good aswell, and I really needed to think about my decision :D

The design of the game is meant to be a "one chance" kind of game, inspired by such popular games on Newgrounds such as "One Chance" or "Only One Chance". We thank you for your review!

It's probably because i'm a massive sci fi fan, but this felt ridiculously contrived. The voice acting was good, and the line delivery was also excellent, but I didn't feel any real risk because of the simplicity of the game.

An unknown threat that requires ALL DA MISSILES (All whopping twenty of them) does not a forboding risk make. You could have done a meteor, or a spacial anomaly, or some horrifying creature from beyond the stars. Literally anything would have been better than "IIIIIT."

Something to make it a bit more complicated than the red button or the green button would be nice as well. Mass effect 3 did not go over well for a REASON.

Also, I don't know if this was intentional or not, but the fact that I have to choose one of the three messages to listen to while i'm waiting for the missile to recharge was quite a nice touch. If only the basic concept of the game could match.

I actually guffawed at the idea of 80% of the population being lost to riots. I actually had to stop and try to remember something I might have missed about the Force Of Doom, and if it was killing people. The Black Freaking Plague killed sixty percent of Europe's population, and it was something actively malicious. The idea of chaotic rioting slaughtering 80% of mankind is just so completely ridiculous i'm struggling to figure out a metaphor to explain how completely impossible this is.

Try for 40%, which is still an utterly psychotic and irational amount of people to die, but maybe someone dropped some bioweapons.

On an offhanded, unrelated note, the set design was very meh. Earth looked good, but the space station was far too blobby for my tastes. Try more smooth, thin lines and defined edges.

Thank you so much for putting your honest thoughts in this review! We will definitely take all that you have said into consideration in the production of our next game! We also appreciate talking about the other aspects of the game!

This was interesting as you had the chance to decide humanity's fate. If you start early enough you will be able to save more people but you have to make through the people's messages. Very nice choice of music.

Thank you very much for the review! We greatly appreciate you taking the time to give an honest review of our work! :)

This game...is one of the few I have ever taken the time to properly review. To be honest I don't even know what to say about it. My decisions in this simple little flash game seriously made me think hard about what I was doing, and there were often times I just wanted to stop as I listened to the voices of my family and others trapped there on the planet. I suppose all that you really need to know is that it is one of the few games on any platform that will make you feel something. Good job, man.

zenygweny responds:

My goodness, thank you! It was exactly what we were intending and I'm happy to hear that it gave you that feeling! I appreciate your review immensely! :)
