The game looks really cool, but it might not be as enjoyable as it first appears.
Having to chamber a round after each shot is a bit annoying, when most other games would have this done automatically - and would rather have the player reload the magazine, rather than chambering a new round. However, the game seems to be designed this way to increase the difficulty - and is potentially very interesting, just needs a little getting used to.
Trying to shoot an enemy is difficult, and feels unnecessarily so. The best way to actually hit an enemy seems to be to get up close. Getting right up to their face is the best option.
The hitboxes feel off, somehow. However, I can't say with any certainty why. I believe it might have something to do with the characters' head.
The player has the ability to dodge, however I find this is a useless ability. I can get close to enemies just fine without it, and I don't feel I need to dodge enemy fire. The play area isn't really wide enough to properly make use of that ability. With what is provided, I feel a melee option would be of better use.
Using the sunglasses are, like dodging, useless as there is not enough time to even use them. More importantly there doesn't seem to be a reason to use them beyond the first wave of enemies. Perhaps there is a reason to use them later on, but I haven't managed to make it that far yet.
The death penalty on the score screen seems far too harsh. It takes away a good chunk of money I would have otherwise gotten, which makes the game a lot longer. I don't feel the game is worth playing long enough to actually get some good money, after I die.
Perhaps this is just me though, maybe you'll find the game worth playing longer than I do. Give this game a try and see if you like it.
