Reviews for "Escape Run 2"

Seen this too many times. Random hidden traps are a tiresome game mechanic that is bearable only if your game is fun even when you are losing, for example because it is silly or otherwise endearing. This isn't one of those cases. I'd rate this higher if it was your first attempt at a platformer, but as this is a sequel i can't really say anything nice. It's a game, and you can move by pressing buttons, and it recognizes things hitting other things, but that's it. Sorry.

ITS RAININ BLOCKS LOL I LUV DIS GAM

I can enjoy a game that provides a manageable challenge, but not one that throws random traps that the player could not possibly expect. And when this game isn't doing that, it's resorting to the tired same old platforming set ups that we've all seen a hundred times over in other platformers. Nothing in this game was particularly interesting, and the controls really felt off. I can't count the number of times I tried to land on a ledge, only to seemingly warp next to it and slowly slide down to my doom.

Hard jump controls followed by extreme "touch and die" pixels and trial by error progression.

RIP headset for mistakenly turning on music.

Not worth it.

The idea of making a sequel is keeping what was good with the first part AND improve what was wrong with it. You kept the main idea of the first part, I saw that, but when it comes to the improvement part... YOU DID EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE! In the first part the controls were slow-responsive, in this they're even worse: when you land from a jump, the character freezes por a second, and if you're landing on a falling platform that means DEATH. But everyone has already talked about the controls; that's not the major problem of the game. The major problem are the GODDAMN DEAD PIXELS: If you are touched by accident by a spare's dead pixel or a laser's dead pixel or a saw's dead pixel you instantly die and it looks like you just explode out of nowhere! That becomes really frustrating.
