Reviews for "Iron Sunset"

Very cool! I can definitely say that I've never seen anything quite like this before. It's quick, simple, and to the point and has a cool twist. Very well done, my friend.

A short game with a large deployment of resources and an interesting background.
It is not easy finding the right phrases to not be executed. It is a pit that not everyone take it seriously and write stupid things.

this is a fantastic concept, gorgeous art. I think it suffers a bit from several points of confusion. I had a difficult time identifying who was saying what. I think there are some simple visual solutions for that.

The more difficult problem is how to motivate people to really engage with the participatory aspect of the game without spoiling the surprise of their own participation. Because I didn't think what I said would matter, I didn't write anything particularly interesting or even coherent. After the reveal, I understood a bit more about the rabbit begging for his life by telling me he fucked my wife.

Part of this problem is actually pretty compelling, because the experience of realizing your words had much more life than you expected is pretty profound, but I can't help but imagine what this game could be like with more engaged participation.

I don't know what the solution would be,and the game functions just fine without a solution, but if you wanted to push this game further, I think that the context in which it's presented might have some impact on how people play it. This game would definitely function well in a gallery setting, which would have its own problems and advantages.

I can also imagine ways of collecting the input that are slightly less open-ended, that might garner more consistently interesting responses, but that would be making a different game entirely, so what I'm really saying is I hope you continue to experiment with this concept, because you've got something really good here.

Thanks for sharing it. I'm glad I played it.

Verzinsky responds:

Yo!! Many thanks for spend your time writting this. As u say is pretty difficult be more clear in the mechanics without doing a spoiler. I was thinking on this shit too many time, but i think that this the "best" way to do it. As u can see in the comments some people don't get the idea of this "game", but who get liked it.

In many aspects this game could be better, but is difficult change some things and not break others. Again, thanks for your time mate!

Interesting game! Reminds me of Morai a bit. I recorded me playing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hR8tz8MCaFw&feature=youtu.be :D

Verzinsky responds:

Yeah moriai is a great game! The idea of notify by mail comes a bit from there

I really love idea behind this "game" only problem is it can either be amazing experience or really bad one since it all depends on what kind of players you "met".
Not sure how to avoid people who are less gifted in intellect area or if its even possible maybe some kind of moderation .
Still i am happy my first playthrough was with really well written messages and i had hard time deciding and loved it.
