Regarding price, if I had been paid at the hourly rate of a minimum wage, no-skill job, I'd have earned about twice that much. I sculpted this myself, spent many hours detailing it and then painting it and made no copies whatsoever. If there weren't people out there who could not discern the value of a one-of-a-kind piece of art and a mass-produced toy, I'd be better off working a minimum wage job than trying to pay my bills doing what I love (which is time-consuming). And $40 is the current bid, not my asking price (the Blue Shell, the least popular of the set, sold for $104.50).
