Very nice. It reminded me of "Alice Is Dead" with the darker Wizard of Oz motif. A bit linear, however, but that could be due to it being episode one that's setting the tone of the story. Having the threat of enemies that could kill you at any moment does add to the tension a bit, but I only ran into one instance of it and didn't have to worry about it the rest of the episode. All in all, a very nice beginning to a new series with the usual Hyptosis style and charm. I'm looking forward to how this turns out.

Well this certainly didn't make me jump or almost crap myself. Nope not at all!
Seriously though, good stuff. Your work generally has excellent ambiance.
One minor quibble would be that the inventory bar is dimmed along with the environment.
The cursor lag wasn't too bad though it would be helpful if it did something to indicate when it passes over something clickable.
Made me jump! When I started I had no idea I was 'timed,' in the sense that I was going to die. Scared me.
