While I'm not a fan of the metroidvania style of level design, I do thing it is done well, the checkpoints after dieing were a bit too far but no major gripes other than that. Since this is a month's game it's length wont be any points off. What I do like about your game the most is that any mistake is the fault of the player.

Simple but not bad, you seem to know what you're doing. I would have rated this a 3 but the double-jump section bumps it up to a four. For a second project, both the distance and timing in that section are very measured which tells me that you took the time to test the mechanics and didn't just slap down hazards at random.

if u dont notice after u learn how to jump u can die go back to the start and jump to the the escape in all i guess the art was good so ill give u three stars.

The problem is I made the check point too small so if someone jumps over it, when the die they go back too far. I'll see if I can fix that.
Freat first game, I really have to say. A bit short; there could be more levels and some non-annoying music ;)
But the controls are responding very well and there are upgrades :)
I'm really looking forward to seeing more games from you. Keep up the good work!

Great 1st game, definitely expand it, maybe give the spike armour a time limit, more different power-ups.
