Reviews for "TrapTower"

It's all coded and executed pretty well; the graphics are pretty good too. I'm not really sure I get the gameplay though...I go up as fast as I can to avoid the spike floor coming up from the bottom, but as far as I can tell there isn't any way to avoid the spikes on the walls...I mean, it's just random chance how far you get before a spike is placed to kill you?

This concept is old. The game itself is not very rewarding. I mean 750 is possible, yeah sure, but what for. It's not like that I will be able to save any cuties or doing some super cool tricks. For instance, there could be a character unlocked at a certain score, and cutscene of he/she/it joining and blablablah stuff like that, sweet! Speaking of characters, the ones here are extremely bland and generic. Additionally, there are a lot of great features for one-button games like this one. For example the jump height, it seems to be fixed which is not too exciting to play along. Others possibilities include bonus button rhytm/combination, streak, interacting traps (which honestly I don't expect though because I believe this game is all about killing traps). Also the physics is bad imo and the control feels clunky. In the end, I must admit it's not fair of me saying all this when trying to be constructive. Best of luck with your future work.

Maybe this suggestion would break the point of the game but what if you could view your trajectory with a line? That way you would know where you land though it would make the game perhaps too easy.

There's no checkpoints and unlocked characters seem to only be cosmetic, it would be rewarding if you gained gold based on how far up you go and that you could buy upgrades.

too difficult

This game is hard, and not in challenging fun way, but in a "you have to have the precision of a computer to get very far," way. I mean, look at the high scores. There are only 2 scores over 1000 and one of those was obviously cheating in some form or fashion. I scored 555 and most people won't even see a score that high. It's too bad because otherwise it's a decent little game as far as aesthetics and the game concept itself go (that's why you get 1.5 instead of 0).
