Reviews for "Ghastly Asylum"

Good, although I can't move my lantern.

lantern is broke yo! game is unplayable but still 3 stars cause i know it would have been a fun game

selfdefiant responds:

Thanks! I think it has something to do with Flash player, it works fine on my site and it's the same game, minus the medals.

Please fix the lantern bug. I thought I was just stuck but then after reading the comments Ive realized its probably because Im not able to move it, hence not being able to find whatever the hell im looking for.
Still giving you three stars cause it was fun up until that point...

selfdefiant responds:

I did fix the bug, it works for me. I think it has something to do with Flash Player settings with the browser. I'm using Chrome and it works. It's not easy fixing something that isn't broken for you. I will remove the game if I can't figure out the problem. Also, you can complete the game, the items that show up from using the lantern are visible even if the torch doesn't move. Thanks.

Sorry for the low review. My biggest issue is the use of (what I presume to be) stock images. The quality of said images fluctuating. The constant repeating audio gets quite annoying after a while. I would suggest maybe finding a longer sound of something less obvious that it is repeating. The pictures are alright if you really couldn't draw or create your own "stage" of sorts. If you want to remain using the images I'd suggest trying to keep constant with the quality of them.

The twisting corridors and inconsistent setting made me pretty confused, a map would be helpful. While I found the shop, I couldn't collect the orbs. Eventually, I was forced to stop playing as my wrench just went away? Your games are fun to pass time but this one doesn't really make the mark for me.

An extremely sub-par point 'n click adventure game. Same with the gentlemen before me, the lantern won't work, so I was unable to finish the game. It was also a bloody chore to find the thing you're supposed to keep orbs in (how about your pocket, dingus!).

I've seen scarier atmosphere. The feeling of being alone in an abandoned building pretty much hits home, but that's about all it did.

Needs work. Snapshots of decaying rooms don't make a scary game.
