Reviews for "Deception Entertainament System"

No sound, no music, a game that advertised itself as having deception but is ultimately a pretty straightfoward platformer.

But what really cause me to score it low lies in three flaws: it's blinding, ugly neon green graphics, the dysmally small size of the sprites, and a crippling bug where the player character is shifted significantly to the left or right while turning around potentially trapping the player into walls.

It is an extremely short game but given the total absence of story, originality, or developed gameplay, it is the lone reason the game is bearable at all.

Basically?

I hope this is your first game or something because if it isn't, I suggest you go read and watch some tutorials on how to make a platformer before trying again. As it stand, I'm giving this only two stars.

i love it! its fun to play and the colors of the game pop. nice platformer!

Cool idea. Could use a little more work every here and there but overall not too bad

it looks like a decent game it just needs a lot of work but I feel like with some more quality having music and more levels I can see it working

One of the better Deception Jam entries I've played. I'd recommend changing the color of the font, as it blends in too much with the background and is obscured. The controls are fine, although your sprite is a bit off center. When you switch from left to right (and vice versa) the object "teleports" (for lack of a better word) a few pixels back. Due to this, I got stuck in walls and fell off platforms on numerous occasions. Even with these bugs and a lack of background music, it's a great entry.

Yes,I know that the sprite is off center and the walls have some bugs.
The lack of background music and the monochromatic colors were intentional.
