MAMA MIA!!!

A cool track MaestroRage,Sounds like its from a japanese RPG

MaestroRage responds:

Japanese RPG?!

Wooh... now there's a notion I didn't even consider...

I suppose it could be iterpreted that way... a very interesting image indeed.

I'm glad you liked the track phoenixfirex, thank you for the review!

im late :(

I dunno why I always forget to review you.. lol
The drums were cool, sounded like battle drums. The 'ahhh' choir voice thing was a nice touch when everything was playing at once. Aside from there being too much bass in the whole song, the only other thing I didn't like was the bell. It didn't seem to flow with the song. The melodys and song structure was top notch tho, and definately held a war feel to it.

MaestroRage responds:

aaah, so you see the problem too. Too much bass, oh how I equalized until my eyes bled tears. I need more practice with that equalizer, to date this was the best I could do.

I liked the bell :'(

Well you're not the first to suggest it's off, so it's probably my own biasm stating this.

I'm glad you liked the track m4ster, glad to hear from you, thank you for the review!

You made me kill people >:(

There was a bit of distortion with the heavy drum hits somewhere after the flutey thing, but other then that I couldn't really find any faults!!
I did however break my keyboard on the person sitting next to me while listening to this piece, so this is your fault. You need to get here and attend the court session with me... K!

MaestroRage responds:

:(

Was it an expensive keyboard? I apologize, i'll send you the money for another keyboard soon.

As for the court, just don't drop any soap after the hearings ;).

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you enjoyed the piece... a little too much!

Wow...

Looks like you held back some big shoots recently... Before this an epic dream was that made me say: great. And now here's the new big shoot.

Well wow... I'm listening still to the track and I'm totally under it's effect: the energy the epicness. Another great job I must say.

The beginning with the sting made a tribeish feel for the whole song. And then came the massive choir support - absolutly great sound and feeling. I've heard such massive epic sound from soundtracks. And the big-big cilmax after this... now that was another hit.

The big bells were also effective at the end...
So for me this song is perfect from the beginning to the end... I wish I could make so clear sounds as you can. Congratulations maestro - another fantastic piece!

MaestroRage responds:

Oh my good sir, I didn't hold back nothing, i've just had a whole crop of unfinished pieces, that slowly are coming into completion, luckily two were finished rather close to each other, I don't think there will be anything for a few days.

The choirs, oh how those choirs made me weep :'(, they were so hard to equalize properly, and I still don't think I did the best job I could, due to my lack of knowledge in that department this was the best I could do for now. I'm sure i'll look back to this in a few weeks and be like "I can't believe I DIDN'T do that!"

My personal favourite part is when the panflute comes busting in with the violins, I just really like how that part came out.

I'm glad you found the song enjoyable madboss, this was one of my largest undertakings, and truly it taught me alot in the process of it's creation.

Thank you for the review ^^.

Connects with my personal story...

Damn, this is really good. You weren't kidding about this being the most complicated piece you have done. I must have heard a least seven or nine different instruments in this piece. Very epic and it starts out slow but then transends into one of the most dynamic pieces I have ever heard. Another story. Soldiers on a desert island train and train, training their swords on wooden dummies that are placed in the sand. And as the training progresses they gain their Armor and then finally at the end they get their helmets and then they strap them on. They march in perfect unison. Want to know who I see in this story? Milkman-Dan, that's who. Dan is nervous at first but then he finds his courage for his country and then charges forth with his brothers in arms. If he doesn't make it back, so be it...he'll take fifty or so enemy soldiers with him to the grave. And if he should live the enemy will tremble when they hear that Dan has reached the battle front! Keep up the good work!

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you Zen, this piece was incredibly difficult to master because I used a LOT of low end instruments this time, the deep brass, the booming drums, cello, contrabrass, and I used the low end of violin section too... it was insanely difficult to present all of them within an acceptable level, to let each speak without overpowering another.

It proved impossible with the war drums, they simply ate too much, and filtering them removed all of their power, it was like snares on steriods with the filter, so it was a sacrafice I had to make.

I will be honest, I would have never thought of Dan in that situation, I always thought i'd see him in a modern fight, but this image... how intrigueing. It's one I will have to speak to Dan about, see what he thinks, for surely it is one that caught me off gaurd. I wonder if it will do likewise with him.

It is one of the more dynamic pieces, but even that worked against me when I was equalizing it XD.

Oh well, practice practice and practice right?

Thank you for the review, and ongoing support Zen, i'm glad you enjoyed the piece!
