If you plan strategically, it doesn't need any idle time: just start a new game each time you capture a castle (the souls are too valuable not to) and then go again, until you're completely upgraded.
The whole game is a lot of grind though, particularly combat and (in early stages) "whipping" your minions. The campaign feature and the brief biographies in the library add a bit of interest, and the game does give you a good grasp of "orders of magnitude" (rather like the NG classic "size of the universe" minigame did).
DON'T GIVE PEOPLE ZIP FILES AS "PRIZES", please. We don't know what's in them or if they're safe... even if they were fine at the time you uploaded them, we don't know if they've been compromised since.
Its okay and you progress well... Up until you get to the nonillion mark. Then things slow own a lot. The gme ran smoothly, with me casually resetting the game once a day (because that was all I could be bothered to do), but once you hit that number of "0"s the games progress versus speed of money gain drops.
Overall its a nice game, but yeturday was the first day I didn't reset...
