The controls feel slippery, but that's ok because it adds difficulty. It reminds me of meatboy in some aspects, although it's not as good (sorry, meatboy is awesome). I really liked how you can get metals aswell!

Title like retro design isn't the best design there is. ;) I like the game overall, but after gaining both the money and jump medal on level 8, probably having died as many times as I've jumped, finally beating it and realizing that... level 9 was no easier, I just don't have the perseverance to get through through the rest. That gold medal medal seems worth a hundred points at least. ;)
I feel like the sliding control is the biggest fault here, as normally precision-based platformers have control that benefits precision, whereas this seems more suited for a regular run-and-gun type game. Or maybe I just suck at this game. :P Anyway, I like everything apart from the difficulty, feels there's not reward enough to merit the struggle!
