Absolutly Amazing

Im so f'n stunned right now, that was brilliant, hod u, the drums *passes out* that mustuv takin a long time to make that drumline, please tell me wat thing u sliced for that cuz that was sooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!!5/5!!!!!!!!!!

TheComet responds:

Same stuff as always, what makes it the intense is a compressor, distortion, and EQ tweaking :)

Nicely done!

Haha, I don't listen to D&B often, but this is near the top of what I've heard. Did you use Sytrus for the bassline? I love that generator :-)
I love that softer part in the song, when you have something that sounds like a jet flyby in the background. What effect did you use to make it sound like it's actually passing above/behind you? Stereo spreader and panning, with some reverb? I MUST know. lol

Keep up the good work! Check out my stuff if you want, I don't have much D&B on there. (OK, I don't have ANY. haha)

TheComet responds:

Just automation on the panning to make the sound seem like it's moving around you, as for making it sound like it's above or below you, you can get that effect by making it more high or low pitched as it gets closer to the center of the panning

S.H.I.T (holy)

superhotincredible totally
this song rules, super fresh, very progressive, and amazing clarity in beats, this song is the shit

No matter how distorted this is...

I can't express what it has done for me... at least not in simple typed words. All I can really say is that this song was one of those songs that... without it... I wouldn't be producing or listening the way I am today. To say it was influential would really be an understatement.

Therefore, I give this song one of the highest compliments that any song can get. Its not about production quality, but its about those songs that contain memories which instantly set the mood. This song really does dredge up memories for me, of listening to this song... on max volume, no less... not caring about distortion. In fact, that only made it better at high volumes, felt more hurried, contributed to the mood.

Really, this is on my favorites list because I REMEMBER this song. It stuck out amidst the hundreds of songs from NG that I listened to over a year and a half ago, and got stuck in a place in my head... somewhere that I can't remove it. I can always hear that haunting melody... back there... It really does bring everything back.

But I'm starting to ramble. The memories contained in this song are, sadly, private. For me. Only. But either way. This song doesn't have the best production or style, but it does set the mood perfect, and it makes me remember early days of my visits to the AP.

comet acid eh?

listening now... subtlety? wtf is that? yeh, i dig the acid synth, the other synth that comes in isn't for me but i like the dirty beat, i think however a cleaner hat part and a punchier bass over the top would give this a bit more beef. where it's dropped out now with the pad and whatnot is nice, good atmospherics as it continues. and in to the main bit with that suspect synth again, personal taste is a bitch... allround good track tho, liking the grimeyness. check out my new 1 for some tasty acid synths, 140bpm tho, sorry
