Reviews for "Idle Pixel Slayer"

worst music ever.

Not a bad idler, all and all. I would say that the DPS calculator needs some beefing up. As it is, it ignores crit chance and damage entirely, in favor of an overly simplistic Dmg / (Spd / 100). In reality, I have figured out that your true DPS over a long period of time (which is the important factor for an idler) is as follows:

((CrtC / 100) * (CrtD / 100) + 1) * (Dmg) / (Spd / 100).

Effectively, this formula first finds the overall effectiveness of CrtD by multiplying it's bonus (CrtD / 100) by your chance to crit (CrtC / 100). Adding 1 to this figure shows you your over all damage multiplier over a long period of time. You then multiply this by your damage to figure you raw power. You then divide this by the time between attacks, in seconds (Spd / 100). This shows you your true DPS. An example is below:

Stats: Dmg = 1000, CrtD = 400, Spd = 150, CritC = 25

((CrtC / 100) * (CrtD / 100) + 1) * (Dmg) / (Spd / 100)
((25 / 100) * (400 / 100) + 1) * (1000) / (150 / 100)
((0.25) * (4) + 1) * (1000) / (1.5)
2000 / 1.5
1333.3 DPS

Compare this to the current formula:

(Dmg) / (Spd / 100)
(1000) / (150 / 100)
1000 / 1.5
666.7 DPS

I could not understand this game for the life of me. It was just me clicking on stuff over and over. There wasn't a lot of detail put into it. The music wasn't bad. I think I was able to get ahead in some areas? It was just really hard to get started.

It seemed like it was just the same enemy over and over. You should have made this more detailed. I don't seem to be losing health or gaining anything. It's just a bizarre game. At least people liked it enough to get it to front page.

I'm pretty heavily immersed in this after a day, and I'm only at level 40. I guess a big part of the idea here is to leave the game on while you are away/asleep. I just love math and trying to figure out the fastest most efficient way to level. This sin't a game for everyone, but I like it!

My thoughts are mixed. Yes i believe the game is grindy and poorly balanced because it takes ages to complete a level or get enough gold to upgrade my gear BUT at the same time i also appreciate the bonuses to stats whenever the player completes a challenge.

I didn;t care much for the music and i muted it for most of my game time.

Back to what i was saying about it being grindy... I understand what some people are saying about lack of progression through exp and gold. It takes a long time to even approach the requirements for an upgrade. I have found that crit chance and attack speed are king in this game as well as your other games.

To me, the cooldown on the potions doesn't make much sense because they are so dirt cheap and it severely picks up the pace on the game and makes it progress at a speed that keeps the player interested. Instead of starting players off with an autoclick every 2 seconds, perhaps you should lower it down to around 1 second and modify it for each class from there.

Also, an exponential increase of damage per point invested would be nice. for instance. the damage bonus is equal to the number of points times itself. 1=1, 2=4, 3=9 and so on

Keep trying at it and i know you will perfect this genre if you keep working at it!
