Reviews for "Dungeon Deadline Anni"

I have a Love/Hate relationship with this game. I favorited this game because i love it. The Graphics, the music, the fighting mechanics, upgrading.. its everything a dungeon crawler that ive been looking for... but the deadline part kills me. i dont like that i have to basically "Start over" on a new floor after 30 seconds of killing and collecting. i would enjoy it so much more if i could clear a lvl before continuing. How was i supposed to kill that dragon in 30 seconds while dodging and we both moving around? Maybe if i put all my money into Damage upgrades? but whats the fun in not being able to choose a different upgrade cause i HAVE to have my damage upgraded to full to even be able to get close to killing the dragon in 30 secs? This is an AMAZING game dont get me wrong, but my personal opinion is that it would be so much better if it gave more time to explore, not rush blindly shooting in every direction to get treasure for upgrades. Keep making games tho, im supporting u 100%

Hi,

thank you for your feedback.

Iam just responsible for the level design, bugfixing and the release of the Anniversary Version. The first Version and the engine is from Orni and you can find the first version under "Dungeon Deadline" here on newgrounds.

Iam happy to consider your points. It would basically mean to throw the deadline concept away and move toward a more "classic" dungeon crawling concept. I will talk to Orni about that maybe its possible to release such a Version in the future.

The dragon is not easy but once you know the trick you can beat it rather fast with the archer and the mage. If you need help i can send you the link to the youtube video i made for the game. Feel free to send me a pm via newgrounds and ill send you the link.

A very well made game. I like the upgrading system and music. Gameplay reminds me alot like Gauntlet. I also like the concept of getting/doing/killing as much as you can within just a few seconds. 4 stars!

Hi,

glad you like it.

Awesome game, although the first boss seems to be a bit too hard, or maybe I just suck. Anyway Great game keep up the good work!

While I do like the game itself for it's efforts to be something akin to 30 second hero with a timelimit to do each stage and the music and sound effects are okay, I can clearly tell that most of your sprites have been taken directly from Realm of the Mad God. While this normally wouldn't bother me too much, I actually feel that the sprite detail when used in this submission is just too small and as a result when considering the hitboxes of certain creatures, it affects your capability to hit them even with good aim. You practically have to predict movements of quite a few monsters to be able to land hits some times which punishes the player for not having perfect aim. Not a good thing to add when you have a strict time limit per stage. It's a good game so I'm going to give you a fair score but I think that different graphics and alterations of the hitboxes of enemies would do to improve the game.

snakep responds:

Hi,

thank you for your feedback. I will consider your proposal with the hitboxes.

The sprites are licensed from Oryx so there is no problem with that.
