Reviews for "A Dance of Fire and Ice"

Though I'm a die-hard rhythm game guy by heart, I can definitely say with little to no bias that this one fits the bill for uniquity.

I particularly like the instant-restart function for when I *bleep!* up, which I did quite a bit before I got the feel of it. My favorite bit is this new concept of visually denoting what a "rhythm" will be by the way simple squares in a path change course.

Jesus, man, i can't get past 1.3x, this is so infuriating! And I've found out, reading the reviews, that some people got to 1.6x? That's crazy!

I think you got a lot of feedback already, so I'm just here to say the game idea is great. Although, choosing which speed to play would be nice. I logged in to review and i lost my progress, so... Yeah.

Are you planning on expanding this game? It would be interesting to see a non-jam, more serious version of this, I would totally want to play it. Anyway, good luck with your projects, dude.

fizzd responds:

Sorry about your progress being lost - the whole increasing speed thing was admittedly just trying to artificially lengthen gameplay while trying to finish it in time for the 48 hour competition. The new version does save now, it keeps track of which world you've unlocked since there's finally more than just one lol. Thanks for the well wishes, best of luck to you too.

Simple yet great and very addicting game.
Would like if you added more maps though.

fizzd responds:

Wish granted!

Lack of a variation in music tracks, and (at least on my computer) the beat doesn't sync up to the buttons, so I eventually had to mute the game in order to hold the tempo. It's a real neat idea for a rhythm game, and I'd love to see it expanded upon with more music.

Holy crap this is addicting. Simple yet fun gameplay, easy to learn but hard to master premise and a challenge that makes you keep wanting to come back and beat it just like Dark souls.
I hit 1.6 but I think that's my limit. Overall, this game is great!
