Reviews for "i saw her across th world"

i really love your games!!! pls make more games :D

This is cool! Can i download?

i saw her standing there loading for me LOL!

Fun, enjoyable game. Only problem were the controls. So much sliding, spent 5 minutes doing something that should have taken only 5 seconds. Nice music though :)

So I was one of the people who wasn't a huge fan of "I Saw her Too, with lasers," I'll confess. The control scheme didn't really appeal to me, and after playing it, I didn't really expect the franchise to continue. So I was a little bit skeptical when I saw this game - the combination of the unprecedented open world and the lackluster control scheme of the last game made me wary.

But no. I love this game.

Positives:
+First of all, seriously, the gender and sexuality customization here rocks. Thank you so much for including queer relationships and nonbinary people. You even let people plug in their own pronouns instead of just using "they", which is really rare even in the occasional game that will let you choose additional gender options. So, thank you <3
+Also, speaking of customization, the selecting various colors bit was also pretty neat. Largely irrelevant to the game, but it just makes it more personal. Plus, while IIRC your color schemes have been pretty colorblind-friendly, it's just a little bit more welcoming that way.
+Your controls are pretty great! First of all, loving the lack of mouse control this time around, which I just find very rarely works out with platformers. Beyond that, though, it's just very smooth - the movement rate is good, the jump height works, and there's no lag.
+WASD controls, too.
+Good music
+Mute button AND volume slider!
+So many medals, oh my goodness! I haven't gotten them all yet, I'm afraid, but I really like all the secrets you've got scattered about. Plus the various unlocked modes, heh. (Mm, now I want pancakes... so it goes.)
+The multiple endings are neat, too.
+I really adore your glib, tongue-in-cheek narration style. It's what's really made this series, and I'm so glad to see you didn't tone it down here.

Negatives:
-Though your control scheme is largely great, I do notice occasional clipping issues. This is a really minor thing, though, as it hasn't actually affected my gameplay, it's just a bit jarring now and again.
-Sometimes I get killed by the weird bird things while jumping on them? I know the exact hitboxing can get tricky, but I think you err a bit too much on the kill-happy side, which gets annoying later in the mountain levels.
-Just a suggestion - when dual-controlling characters, it would be nice for an option to walk them both at once, maybe the third time you press "f" or something.
