Reviews for "Rifftrax Animated Intro"

So, they charge 99 cents to see the intro on the website? Either way super awesome animation like always man

...of all the things I'm reminded of, it's the words of Strong Bad: "I'm sure viewership would triple if I had one of those crappy cartoon theme songs that bludgeons you over the head with the blunt end of the show's premise."

But in all seriousness, considering this was a commission, as you say, then congrats! I'm sure the guys loved it, and it may not be the classic MST3K intro -- but hey, the days of VHS are long gone, so wha'cha gonna do? This is fine and funny and flows well with a catchy zaniness (emphasis on catchy; if this looped, I probably wouldn't be able to stop watching for a good five hours) that's pretty straightforward and yet highly satirical at the same time. But then, that's what you DO, isn't it? (I will never get over Saturday Morning Watchmen, I swear. In a good way!) Again, great job.

I've had the chance to sample some of the 'New Millennium MST' and it's really amazing. There's a certain truth to the line about 'not the easiest job' -- especially since with big budget flicks, everybody and their brother's cousin's dog has made a YouTube channel with a snarky v-log about Twilight or Avatar or whichever. But, like this flash, the old gang stands above the rest, not simply because of the nostalgia factor (though, don't think it doesn't help!) but because they've still GOT IT, man. And with this in front of it, I do believe viewership should at least triple, if not quintuple or possibly octuple.

All the kudos and best of luck on your future projects! (All of which I'm looking forward to by default, mwee~)

Great, great, great.

I definitely preferred mst3k to rifftrax because of the characters and the more obscure pop culture references of the former, but this is absolutely an awesome intro into what the best of the modern incarnation has to offer. Nice work Harry.

Now that was hilarious.
Loved the movie references.

Great job, Harry! If you MST3K and RiffTrax you might like "Son of Svengoolie", who is (locally to Illinois) famous for doing much the same thing to scifi-horror movies. A lot of his stuff is posted online by fans, but he also has his own site.
