Reviews for "The Deepest Sleep"

One of the best games of the trilogy , it creates a paradox , a chance to wake yourself up by possessing yourself before you got caught, and those bottom feeders have a pretty good design , I like these scenes where you must escape before something comes and catches you , in the first one you ran away from... spoilers in the second one a crazed woman and you had to get the elevator open and in this one a bottom feeder.

About to play no spoilers u spoil it ima get u :P jk but I will be mad :P jk

good game, scared me a few times. like in the beginning, and after i got the handle when the figure moved across the screen, i thought it was gunna jump at me again. not gunna spoil anything else.

Haha, that was a messed up ending! Good trilogy.

The Deepest Sleep is a "point and click" adventure game which focuses on creatively stirring a player's imagination via haunting ambient sounds and (in my opinion) purposely "blurry" pixelated graphics. The blurriness of the graphics actually heightened my sense of fear as I played the game, as more was left to my imagination. I really appreciated this element of game design, and I think it's super cool that only a few moving pixels and appropriate sound effects could spark so much emotion in me. So, in terms of atmosphere, The Deepest Sleep excels, just like the previous two games in the series, Deep Sleep and Deeper Sleep.

Unfortunately, the puzzles are too straight-forward in The Deepest Sleep (versus the earlier games), and, most disappointingly, the game is MUCH shorter than the previous two. Overall, I just felt like The Deepest Sleep did not establish a certain "epic" feel that Deep Sleep and Deeper Sleep succeeded at establishing, and I think it's largely due to its gameplay length and puzzle selection.

In sum, is The Deepest Sleep an engaging and well-made point and click adventure game? Yes. Does The Deepest Sleep compare to its two predecessors in terms of overall gameplay quality? In my opinion, not at all.
