Reviews for "The Bells of Atlantis"

Pretty little game. The artstyle is great, the animation is really amazing and both music and setting create a perfect dark and ominous atmosphere.

Unluckily, the gameplay is its weak point. I'm not really a fan of arcady collectathons, and this one is neither challenging nor much fun. The process feels even more frustratingly pointless without in-game incentives to keep playing or even a medal system.

I'm also kind of disappointed that this isn't a platformer or an RPG, but that's just me having unfounded expectations.

Hope you can make it better outside the 48-hour constraint!

The animation reminded me of ZekeySpaceyLizard. Dang, I wish that guy would come back. This is a good game, just not a great one. I think I died when I ran out of light. It really was well designed. The drawings are great!

I just don't think it's that rewarding. It seems like a sort of experimental game, with how it works. You just seem to go on forever with the same music. There are no enemies that can even harm you. At least it's nice to see them.

Love the art and Design

Just one thing, i hate the game controls, is damn hard to move to the lights =(

=D keep the good work!

Thank you! Try using the down arrow to slow yourself down when you need to turn.

Maybe it's just me, but I found this to be extremely boring.

It was nice little game, I hope you improve it beyond the game jam. In my opinion the main character doesn't really fit with the dark theme this game has, what with his goofy eyes and spinning legs. Also, there isn't really a end game, and survival isn't hard. Maybe instead of every light resetting the beam to full, it could only refill a small amount, so your light dwindles more and more. Again, I love the feel, and like the concept, so I hope to see you expand the game.
