In this game you press X to confirm (move to next stuff). When the dogs pass in the screen you can press Space to increase the counter by 1.
In the end (after the dogs passed) it displays the number you counted (you can press backspace to delete and write your own number), so when you press X you're confirming the number. If you get it right, you go to the next level. If you're not right, you loose a life each time you press X.

The interface is a bit tricky... I mean, it's not obvious... Why X? Wouldn't Space be enough to confirm?
When you ask people to press some key, it's good to know what the action implies: "Press X to continue" or "Press X to confirm"/"Press Space to count dogs"/"Press X to show doggy style"

It's actually enjoyable for a while (before your head starts to hurt).

The main reason it was X was because X is a button on the Playstation.
I guess I should have steered clear from those controls.

For those struggling with how to play the game: the number displayed at the end of each level is the number of times you pressed the space key. It needs to be the number of dogs that ran past during the level. If you pressed the space key once for each dog - it will be correct. If not - you can change it. Took me long enough to figure out that's what was expected. Game was okay but I didn't know what the title referred to, so the humour was lost on me sadly.

why does it keep telling me to press x when all it does is make me lose lives? this game makes no sense.

Haha it deserves an actual rating, even though the game has this name just to jack attention. XD But, it's not... Terrible. It's playable, and I can't get past level 15. Haha
