Reviews for "The Old Harmonium"

That was awesome and very unique compared to everything else uploaded to Newgrounds. It had a simple concept, but the detail added to it is just incredible. The movements were naturally toy-like, and thus made it seem as if I were looking into the imagination of a child, or the world that the toys live in. The song was fun to listen to also; it resembled some sort of carnival, and especially made me think of a merry-go-round (the style of the baby-faced dolls -- if they are dolls and not "action figures" -- reminded me of the glossy horses that spin on those). All-in-all, I really enjoyed this cute (and kinda creepy) short film. It was somewhat short, but the amount of effort put in makes up for that.

... Of course, I might have a little positive bias towards stop-motion (give me that Wallace and Gromit ;p ).

Hey, thanks for the lengthy review and the kind words.

That was creep as hell... but well done

aap responds:

I like that people are actually creeped out by this.

great fucking job man :O!!!

aap responds:

Thank you!

Superb

aap responds:

Thanks!

it was strange but good. The art of stop animation seems to have died out or maybe i just don't see alot of it anymore which is why i think i didn't just give this a bad vote. very artsy .

aap responds:

Well, I don't think it has died out really, it's just not a very popular technique for internet animation. If you visit an animation festival you'll probably see lots of stop motion. And Aardman (Wallace and Gromit) is still around I think. Thanks for the review!
