Reviews for "Why Birds Sleep Well (Part 2)"

HI

This is twistedtechnologies dad, so any similarities in comments are his fault hehehe. Lets review 1) heresaspoon has no musical ear...Now that THAT is out of the way, I am a fan of your music. I have been listening to and studying music for the better part of 39+ years, so I believe I know what I am talking about.
2) Your choice of intruments could not be more perfect, especially when trying to entice your listeners to picture the sound of a sleeping bird. A tuba would be right out as an instrument of choice hereaspoon! 3) It is only one piece of a bigger song and together, all of it is a masterpiece. This is a song perfect for listening when the lights are dimmed low, or going to sleep. It is peaceful, melodic, tranceful and easy on the ears. It definately gets the mind to wondering, which I percieve is the intent of the song. 4) Please keep banging them out, great works. I wanted to get Timmy, aka Twistedtechnology to tackle a project like this. I believe this type of music is perfect for orchastral pieces with a series of movements. Peace out.

Gillenium responds:

Hey, thanks a lot for the extensive review! I appreciate it. I've done a large project like this before (Connection chapters 1-5), but it wasn't nearly as focused as this one was. I tried to maintain a theme throughout. Glad to see I hit the nail on the head! Dang, that review made my day :D Makes me want to stop eating cheese puffs and get back to my music projects, lol!

Sexy

and by that i mean, damn that song is sexy. It just keeps getting better and better, I give this section another 5. Lovin the hell out of it man. Onto part III i say!

Gillenium responds:

Thanks, dude. I used a violin sample from the original Godzilla for this one.

Hot damn, this is even better than the first.

Now I must check out the rest of your stuff. I love the mellow and peaceful feel this song gives off. You must do this kind of thing for a living, correct? Because I doubt an amateur could make something this complex.

Gillenium responds:

Nah, it's not putting food on my table just yet. I've just been doing this stuff for a lot of years. I have a CD out, but I haven't quite broke even on it. Making CDs is expensive! Recently sold out of the stock on cdbaby.com though, which was exciting. Ah well, thanks for another review.

Aww man...

Really a great track you´ve got there. But question- where is part 1? I can´t seem to find it.
I love flutes, and you did a great work doing this. I would like to know a story in this, as it seems like there is. I´ve seen you on the Ambient top for a while! I think this really deserves it :)

Gillenium responds:

Part one is here, too. I hid it...

The story... Well, the whole thing is based on my experiences at a cabin in Canaan Valley, WV. I often base my songs on visual things.. as strange as that may sound. Just about every song on this page is based around ideas or imagery from a movie, video game, or place. Thanks for the review!

Awesome song!

It has a little bit of a, "Hitman", feel to it...Jesper Kyd makes some awesome music...you sound like his kind of style. I like it alot...keep up the good work!

Gillenium responds:

Glad you liked it! You won't believe this, but a director buddy of mine compared me to Jesper Kyd a few weeks back... and he's a Hitman fan, too :D Thanks for the review!
