Reviews for "Nana ~ After World"

Ok, so...
I just finished playing both Nana and Aria and this review stands for both.
Firstly, I really appreciate your games, I was a big fan of "Beyond Darkness" and "Remember death", and I liked these sequels too. They still have some flaw that can easily be adjusted, but I think you also improved something (sprite quality, and if I recall correctly you also adjusted text speed).
One suggestion: since these kind of games rely mostly on dialogues (well, it's almost ONLY dialogues), it could be helpful to use different colours for the dialogues of different characters: white for Nana, pink for Alice, and so on (making them match hair colour could be a good choice). This way we can focus on "acting dialogues in our heads" without having to read who's talking each time.
Also, I appreciate visual novels with choices but the first two choices were totaly irrelevant for the story, so it sounds a bit like you're cheating ;)
I give "only" 4 stars because I liked the atmosphere and the story of "Remember death" a lot more (I found those animal masks, that changed every time, to be very original and unsettling). Not that I didn't like these two games or their stories, but I found them to be more predictable and a little less original in the atmosphere.
Anyhow, I think they're still very good and you should be proud of your work. Looking forward to enjoing your next game/art :)

Dark06Star responds:

To be honest, I really did want to add more choices that have more impact to the stories.. but like I said. I didn't think these through much.. and it did take me a lot of time to finally come to how they both will go... So I suppose this is the best they can get ^^;;

My upcoming visual novel probably won't have much choices too (not sure..) But I am thinking of adding some minigames.. so yeah.

i really cry o my god

i really like how it ends :)
good job on this cool novel!

I like the feel of this game better than the others. I really liked the mystery element in "Remember Death," though. Still, I like the post-apocalyptic feel of this compared to "Aria ~ After World."

Better than Aria (and it's actually about Nana). I like your style of storytelling, but you HAVE to fix speed in "Remember Death". Without it, I have only 2 good short stories (and I can't bring myself to reading it at snail speed.
