Reviews for "Who Killed The World?"

cool tension

LunyAlex responds:

Cheers bro! 'preciate it!

I saw that movie very recently! It was great :D

As is this track. I can definitely tell it was inspired by Mad Max: Fury Road. The music in that movie was awesome.
This sounds pretty experimental, in the best way possible! You're not afraid to do things out of the ordinary, or to include pretty simple yet effective parts, like the one at 1:05!

I think everything here is wonderful. I think that the only thing that could be improved is perhaps the ending, as it's so sudden. But on the other hand, it kinda fits too :p

Brilliant job, and good luck!

LunyAlex responds:

Yep, I need to work more on my endings. Hardest part of writing for me, and probably most others. I just can't figure out how to turn it around into a smooth decline to silence. One day!

Very glad you liked it, and very glad that it seems the more experimental elements worked well.

Thank you very much and good luck to you as well!

Man this year is full of awesome submissions! Really cool percussion work and some massive sound. I just learned how much ressources and work this is... Also quite nice guitar sound. Did you play them yourself? This is some perfect trailer music. Like the oriental feeling around 2 mins and the tension buildup. Maybe the end was a bit to sudden. But I always have the same problem ;) I just heard good things about Mad Max. Really have to watch it (is the number 1 on my list)...

LunyAlex responds:

Hey! Thanks for the review!

Sadly the guitars are sequenced, mostly because of time constraints. Had one day left and having to practice the riffs would've probably put me on edge a bit, hah.

See the movie! :D

Thanks again!

Mad Max was epic and so is this song! The percussion and the guitars work so well here. I could easily see this being used in a scene from the movie. Or a deleted scene. Or a sequel. Probably the most epic part of the movie as well.

LunyAlex responds:

Thanks a lot!

Very glad you think it fits.

Cheers!

LunyAlex...oh my, oh my. When you show up to the party, you really make an entrance! This track is tight as hell from one end to the other. I guess my biggest complaint is that it's over too quickly, which is really more of a compliment than anything else. Since it is so short, I kind of have to fault it for being a little repetitive on the back end, but man--your buildups are simply rife with tension! But the percussion, instrumentation, and the mix in general are all crazy tight.

On a final note, the ending (accidental puns ftw) is admittedly a bit underwhelming in comparison. Even so, I can't help but give you a well-earned five stars. Your track is truly an epic ride and a joy to my ears. Group L is wall to wall talent, but you have most definitely thrown down the gauntlet. Best of luck!

LunyAlex responds:

Thank you very much for the review! I'm very glad you liked the song overall.

I'll definitely take note of the critique. Now that I'm happy with my entrance I'll work some more on my exit, haha. Endings, my weak point.

Thanks again! Cheers!
