Bittersweet and brilliant
Yeah.
I was born near where it happened, and my dad was working in the city damn close to where it happened, so if anyone has a right to be pissed off about anything 9/11-ish, I should be one of the select few.
And I love this. I was actually laughing out loud, which i did not expect, since I do not laugh out loud at most things, especially subject matter that pulls at my heartstrings.
This is a masterful piece of work. You do this for a living, right?

Still a touchy subject. But man the reviews were great! So many angry people, I love it. And so many people trying to explain it to themselves because they don't know what else to do. Genius. Listen, I don't agree with all of the little teen-angst athiests that will do anything to be "different." But all these explainations... Krbyhotride had the funniest explanation I've seen to date,
"On 9-11, jesus was busy making the aproximate 800,932 people late to work at the trade centers. By the time he got to the trade centers, it was too late. all he had time to do was place a cross in the wreckage, to honor the people who's lives were taken that day."
Are you serious? Wow.
Grim humor
It's funny in its own way, what with the transformation. If one didn't know how it was going to end, you'd almost have hope for the people. But of course...
The movie was funny enough until the towers fell and the screams started. I don't know if you were going for the effect, but I could almost imagine being near the towers, hearing people scream as they go down. VERY strong imagery with this and the smiling Jesus scene.
It does what it does, and does it very well. Watch out for the flames you'll catch for this one, though.

Do I believe there was such a person as Jesus? Yes I do. However, like Matt Hale (leads a White Supremacist racist group), I think he was nothing more than a stupid moron. Now, because of John (the Baptist), and with "Jesus" (is that really his name?) helping him, we now have way too many Christians. And the facists among them are now trying to force their ideals upon everyone around them.
And by the way, the KKK and Matt Hale think they're Christians.
