My recommendation for new players is to start on General Wu's route, then onto the Physician's, and finally the Emperor's in terms of plot. For me, I started with the Physician, then General, then Emperor, and my moods began from giggling fluffiness, to bittersweet hopeful, to heartbroken dismay.
[Non-spoiler Walkthrough]
General Wu:
Be a smart girl and stay in your room to read until your Intelligence is 15+. To win his heart, know when to be quiet to avoid annoying him, and when to obey instructions to save your own skin. If you have things to confess, let him know or the both of you will be going nowhere. (lol)
Physician:
Don't be afraid to let him know about the strange future whenever he asks about your backstory. However, if you find something fishy about him, do not rat it out. Just shh, and enjoy your time with him. He's a bit touchy about his effeminate looks, but hey, beautiful things are better, right? Also, after the dramatic discovery, stick with him until the end.
Emperor:
Enjoy bantering with Him in macabre humour, and be frank with what you think. He's fed up with all the ruse and deceit going on in the palace and war anyway. And when the enemies draw near, why not just give in to fate and join him in the last moments? You could end up surviving after all.

[My Review for this SIM DATE:]
Art: 3/5
Sound: 2/5
Story: 5/5
Final verdict: 3.5 stars
-0.5 star for a lot of spelling mistakes and troublesome 'next' buttons.
While in the beginning I was "meh" about the graphics, it eventually grew on me since I was more breezing through to read, but I can also tell quite some effort was put into it - and hand-drawn art is rather cute, anyway. :)
The music was repetitive however fitting, and there weren't any other BGM I remember hearing even as I reached the ends (or maybe I was too absorbed reading to notice! But I doubt that). One other issue I had was the "next" buttons. They were ... particularly tricky to click, which deterred my enjoyment for the game overall. It knocked back some scores, so -0.5 star.
I have to say, the story, while not very original, was novel in its own right. It wasn't the pining ritual that was fun (which, I should add, the dialogue were full of spelling and punctuation issues that could be fixed). The endings are a whole 'nother deal. They were just, well, splendid! I can't let on more without spoiling some deets, so I won't.
The last thing I should mention is the given help in-game by the guy who guards the coffins, and being able to check our stats at the treasury so that the play screen isn't crammed up by our attributes. +0.5 star for that! Interface is important, desu.
This was worth my two hours, and if you're a fan of content-over-eye-candy, then give this a chance yourself.
