Reviews for "The Diggers Refrain"

The game just isn't that great. Press the same 3 keys, quickly repetitive song, miss 4 times and die. Its not really fun to play. I also have to say that the lesson just feels kind of flat. I get it has good intention, but it just isn't really felt. There's no time for it to sink in, and not much depth for it to hold much meaning within a game. It feels like just a game over screen. I would suggest holding off that sort of message for either a bigger game or an animation

With all the being said I have to admit the way the song is sung by each member with a different voice and proper programming to cut it off when they fall is a great feature.

Home keys only? It would be better if the game progressed by difficulty eventually to include all keys, caps keys, etc.

It looked fun from the photo. Not to be rude but its bad

I kinda wanted to look at the nice art but I was distracted by keeping up with the letters. Maybe a different positioning would have been better. Not a fan of the singing :P

Why would you not even make it harmonious? That's sort of what I expected from the description. Instead it's just the same lines repeated by four different people, played in rapid succession. You could have at least made the letter prompts have the same rhythm as the "song". It just isn't fun or interesting. You need to think about what the player would want. In this game, the player presses various keys over and over again with no variation in speed. That simply isn't fun, no matter how highly you value the "singing" mice. The graphics look nice, at least.
As always, I blame the Ludum Dare. Worst series of competitions gaming has ever seen.
