Reviews for "Edgar's Dream"

it was certainly interesting, first off: great details! i really liked how you could interact with the environment even though it may not do something that contributes to the end goal, and i thought that really helped build the dreaming feel of this. the creepy stuff and sound was a neat touch which i thought also effectively developed the dream atmosphere. the only thing i found a bit off was that i beat the game really quickly... i wound up getting 4 keys and then when i found the chains, i just messed around and broke the puzzle without all the keys. i was a bit upset that it ended so quickly because it was a huge world that i would have really liked to get more into. maybe if having ALL the keys as a necessity, it could eliminate a sad quick ending. i'll definitely play it again though to explore the whole thing. for years in the making, it was a nice piece and i think the huge detailed dream landscape you created can attest to that!

Quite abstract, it kept me playing.

Not bad. Art was pretty good (with the exception of the humanoid at the beginning). Sound was WAY too quiet. My sound was cranked up and I barely heard a thing. The screen size was to big, too. Both top and half were cut off for me. Was creepy, though. When I went into the room with the hooks, I was like eww, eww, EWW get me outta here!!

This was well done, but I expected more. The animations and sound were great, and I liked the art style as well. But the gameplay is lacking. It's nothing more than a hidden objects games with one puzzle at the end. And apparently you don't even need to find all the "objects" (no spoilers, even small ones) to win.

I'm looking forward to your next game.
