Reviews for "Lol Anime Annie Vs Riven!"

The animation style is very japanese, less focus on movement more on scenery and panning etc. It was mildy cute and the art was nice, not a fan of league though.

2Pstudios responds:

Thanks for your review man.. we really like the anime style and we're looking to improve our skills for the next videos! (:

This is nice but GOD is the music loud on the action scene >_<

Noob didnt tibbers stun, what a feeder

2Pstudios responds:

Noobs... Noobs.. everywhere hahahha ^^"

idk the effects were great....but the animation itself was practically non-existent....if this was supposed to be a motion comic maybe it would be ok.....but to try to pass it off as animation ..doesn't work....try adding more fluid motions next time

2Pstudios responds:

Thanks man.. we're rly paying attention on these advises to improve our skills (:

This is like a case study in the follies of the Anime genre. A lot of loving attention to your character models, and very very poor animation made to look nice with quick action scenes. Many many scenes were very poorly animated: tweens, limited body movements, moving the angle around a static image to make it "seem" like movement and almost no fluidity. Some scenes were like watching a static picture where only the mouths moved. The action was decent, though it was clear when you were using the same objects over again with the same effect. The lack of VA's is also disappointing.

Onto the plot, well, I'm a League player so I got plenty of the references but it seemed so drowned in absolute anime tedium and anime convention that it was hard to sense any of the true humor in it. Repetitive moves, the b/w filter slow down, and the "twist" ending where as predictable and grating as any I've ever seen.

Anime as a whole can be a good genre, plenty are done right, but it is fairly difficult to try and pull it off for an amateur, more often than not you get stuff like this, token Anime puns and convention, drawn out fighting and noticeably bad animation and dialogue (in this case just sound bytes), the only thing missing here is the beach scene.

Pros:
+ As with most anime style, loving attention to character models.
+ Again w/ anime, the battle scene is the bread and butter, and I'd be lying if I said it wasn't the very best part of this animation, because, in fact, it's like, the only part and was done pretty well despite itself.

Cons:
- Dreadful, dreadful anime intention. It's too noticeably "anime" so much so that it chokes out all other intention of it being anything but that w/ a League of Legends theme wrapped around it.
- Static characters, very limited movements, cliche angles, no fluidity, poorly animated all around.
- No VAs, I'd rather listen to an Annie sound-alike than audio bytes off their actual dialogue, ripped and used in very uninspiring ways.
- Painfully awkward to watch, the bad animation, coupled w/ no VAs and the inescapable sensation that this is fan anime meant I was never immersed at all and did not enjoy it, save for attempting to appreciate the action in the battle.

All in all, I'd say it would benefit you far more to try and make your own style than follow the anime genre and be restricted by its limitations on your artistic abilities.
