really good game
Wasn't expecting much, but this game was great. I normally get a bit frustrated from these types of games, but there was a good balance of tension and frustration with getting the things I needed until the end game. I was very glad I didn't have to manage supplies or anything like that, and the way the survivor system worked was pretty useful.
I realized early on that searching was going to be the chokepoint, and it was annoying in the beginning when I kept losing people. Eventually, I found a combination that worked, and it didn't bother me from the middle of the game on. With your survivor squad all settled in, the end game was a bit easy but still fun, and you still had to take an active part in the killing. Personally, I hate it when I'm constantly getting overrun, and this wasn't a negative for me (though I never felt like I was anywhere near losing, since you lose barricade so slowly AND you had bombs AND you had survivors killing for you).
I really liked the art style, and the music worked pretty well. I was never bothered by lag or controls, which is quite the achievement, I think. I was a fan of the game design decisions you made. You gave players enough info about what was happening without making it too complicated, and there was still tension and thought in the decisions that we had to make. I would have liked a little more challenge at the end, and perhaps it would be nice to clean up the lawn of zombie corpses after each area - it wasn't hard to see, but those zombies did start to blend in a little bit.
Overall, this was a great game, and I hope you keep it up!
