Not too bad at all, collision detection on stage 2 is a little tough though.

if you die a 2nd time too fast you dont respawn and the game gets stuck. A mute button and not making the tutorial madantory would also be nice.
This game would function well if lives were more frequent and not impossible to get. There's a difference between tough and unfair.
A couple things wrong with this game. Tails moves too quick so making him jump on enemy heads to kill them is annoying. You should have used the "up" key to jump and space to shoot rings or something. Checkpoints is a good idea too.
