It's impossible to aim the first cannon in level 18 to avoid being killed.

We are flattered with that appraisal keybol as you are a game dev we looked up to from the very beginning.
I kept losing because I was holding s and clicking and the grass/lava/whatever wouldn't turn.

If you were clicking blocks with the mouse icon, you need to avoid the mouse icon, they block the click area.
I love these type of games but sometimes the timer would go for second(s?) after I got to the exit and also you can climb the grass blocks if you jump at right time.

A fraction of a second is needed for the game engine to process the "level win" message. And since time is rounded to the nearest second this does sometimes seems to result to having one extra second after you reached the exit. But it is the same for everybody so it's still fair?
Yep, jumping off angled walls is permitted to a certain extent. You'll shave off lot of seconds in some levels by taking advantage of that! ^^
