Reviews for "Tek Tactical"

I enjoyed the game overall, and it kept me entertained for a good half an hour until I ran into the 'Equipment menu bug'. I'm not 100% sure what caused it but, It seems like it happened right after I bought a SMG from the shop. let me know if this helps you out at all.

tedgaming responds:

Dammit, I still can't get the equipment menu bug to happen to me. I've been trying out everything everyone suggests. It took me a few stages to find an smg to buy because of the random nature of the shop lol.

Oh well, I guess I gotta keep trying everything. Thanks for trying to help out!

The graphics and all are really nice, music is alright, I can tell you've put a lot of work into this game. Skills and stats are always a plus, I love RPG-like shooters like Borderlands or the Fallout series. The story is kind of flat, but who cares? The important point is that there is one, and even that's not so major with a survival-style shooter. I always hate shooting games with no bullet trail, the fact you have to click directly on an enemy to damage him annoys me, but hey, your game your rules. Anyway, the menus don't really seem all that complicated, though it can be a little overwhelming at first with all the tabs and submenus etc. Achievements are extensive and varied, and the descriptions are pretty entertaining. All that being said though, I just can't find myself getting really into this game, probably the bullet trail thing. Not that I care about that visually, but the physics of it makes this game less enjoyable to me. Still though, a very good game minus that major complaint of mine, so 4 Stars for you. To weigh in on the equipment glitch, I found that hitting quit and then going back in through Continue worked for me, a quick band-aid solution but it gets you playing again

tedgaming responds:

I like bullet trails too. I'll be sure to include it in the next game! In the meantime, knives, grenades, and grenade launchers have the bullet trail effect so maybe you'll enjoy playing with those!

It's a very cool game, especially the graphics!

Though It's a bit complicated to surf around the many options and features (shop, equipping, stats, etc..), and I think the stock market is probably adding more confusion than being fun to have..

I felt a bit lost on first approaching the equipping section, it took me a couple of stages before realizing how to switch slot from the top and then equip something.

the thing I don't like more is that you can't jump.. I feel handicapped just walking around (at the beginning you also walk soooo slow) in the middle of a gun fight.. in general is barely impossible to avoid the bullets, so you just stay there and take them all aimin carefully for an head shot, and you do better than trying to move around to distract the enemies, who then are less easy to hit on the head cause they move.

I've experienced the bug as well.
you have to play for a few levels (think was 4th), then you end a level and after the stats screen, you click on equipment or any other section and it move the main wheel without loading anything on the selected panel. and if you reload the game and select continue, the bug it's still there.

the most suspicious clue in my case was that when it crashed, I had looted a ring (the strength one) which I had already previously looted and equipped, so maybe there is some recurring variable which cause an infinite loop?

hope this helped you to fix it.

Cool game though!

tedgaming responds:

Thanks! Hmm... I don't think it's a ring problem. Try continuing your game, then exit to the main menu, go to save data, export it, then import it, and then start a new game plus and see if the bug is still there. If it is, then it really might be a ring problem and giving me the export code would help immensely. I haven't heard back from anyone yet so I'm not sure if the problem persists after exporting and importing the game again.

Pretty good, but, could use a little more detailed in game help. I haven't even heard about fusion until the achievement page, and I'm not sure what bonds are; there's nothing about it in the stock market and there's no bank per say. Am I getting interest on the gems I hold? Also, it really needs a comparison option so I can compare my equipped weapon with a shop weapon, instead of having to swap between buy and sell and try to remember what the numbers were. I'm assuming the blue numbers are the weapons stats after being modified by your stats, but, again, this is never mentioned that I've seen.

Also, it's kind of a balance issue that I found that just using knives works better than guns. They don't have the lengthy reload times, can be fired about as fast as the pistol and faster than the magnum, do just as much damage(if not more), are much more accurate, and never run out of ammo. I'd recommend just forgetting about your guns, get some good knives, and tape your X key down. Well, maybe not, your grenades still come in handy too.

tedgaming responds:

A lot of menus have a secondary menu when you click the button at the top. Equipment menu turns to equipping skills, customizing weapons turn to weapon fusion, stock market turns to bank.

Knives can definitely be very strong. Every weapon in the game can get OP'd if you fuse it enough and equip the right skills so you can use exactly whatever you enjoy the most without worrying about which weapon is stronger. The "disadvantage" of knives is that it's kinda tiring to hold down x and kinda difficult to move at the same time.

Waiting for fix the bugs (Sorry i'm bad in English :( )
