I beat this my first time 22-10. I don't know why people seem to be having trouble. The game is simple, and a bit too easy in my opinion. I am not bragging, I simply want to point out that it is highly possible to beat him and was even done on my first attempt.
As for actual game play, it's fun for something put together in such a short amount of time. Simple controls and smooth frame rate make for a thoroughly enjoyable two or so minutes of play. I enjoyed the humorous article that comes at the end of the match as well.
If you ever wanted you could probably expand this into a multi-player browser(or just flash) game that could occupy plenty of the users time. It reminds me of the simplistic but enjoyable SuperFighters game, and while that game is far more developed and I find myself continuing to play it- I feel that this game could be expanded into a similarly enjoyable and long term game.

SuperFighters. I remember that game. It was the game that got the Daily First the day I released my first popular game, Feed the Children, so it's funny that you mention it.
And in terms of adding more stuff, you're right, there is a ton I could have added to this game, but I did have a deadline, and afterwards, I didn't feel like developing it much more. But maybe someday I will flesh it out.

I think the strategy is to hold onto the ball until the shot clock almost runs out (run around so he can't steal the ball), and then shoot from a long ways away so the ball doesn't go in and you can get the rebound - since you are slightly faster. That and if Kim does get the ball, try to block him from getting close so he shoots from far away. Then score right before the half or right before the game ends.
I almost had a shut out when I tried this, but then he scored from the whole court away. That's worth 5 points, so make sure you have 6 points to still win - just in case.
