Reviews for "Final Slam 2"

dude why my computer reponding??? i can play this game

It has some promise. The character creation mode is very detailed and the number of move options is impressive. The combat is interesting, close range can be fun as you can mix up combos fairly easily.

Is there actually a proper movelist in game? There were some sample moves in the corner of the story screens for a few characters in the prequel story, but I had a hard time finding any for anyone in arcade mode. There are so many possible combinations that figuring it out for any other character was pointless.

Speaking of special moves, the timing seemed to be hit or miss. Doing the combination quickly doesn't always work, even if you make sure there is no overlap. Doing them a little slower usually works, but not always. I don't know what it is, but I never have problems with special movies in other fighting games.

I also don't like how the dodge slides you backwards across the screen. It keeps you safe, sure, but it also makes it impossible to counter attack. Given that you can't always jump over projectiles, that's a problem.

I waited for the bugging to stop and made it through the intro only to get this? You nailed the graphics, different game modes, and the ability to make your own fighter. But the dead end comes at the gameplay. Its so slow and stale. It's like I need a good computer just to keep up with the frames. The only slam i got was a few crashes from my google chrome. What's the point of making a large game if a basic computer can't play it.

are u kidding me prepaing data amd then no game what the fuck man

josh-tamugaia responds:

no i am not kidding there IS a game if not why would I uplod it :))))

A few minor issues about this game:
1. Irresponsive controls: it's almost impossible to make a hadouken or shoryuken types of moves!=(
2.Crappy graphics: WTF with his face? 0_0
3.Lags: Sonic 06 had a faster loadings.
Btw, my computer is core i5, 4gb RAM, and my flash version is 11.9.9, so that's not my machine's fault.
Anywaythe game was pretty nice, though.
But still does not makes me to purchase the gold version.

josh-tamugaia responds:

The gold version or downloadable silver version can go fullscreen and utilize Direct X (for Windows) and almost eliminates unresponsiveness and lags.

From my experience, no matter how fast a computer is, if it has many applications loading in the background, too many browser windows open, or using CPU power or/and RAM, or has some malware processes, browser flash applications will definitely slow down.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles, but I've tested this extensively on a laptop bought in 2008 running on Celeron. The flash one did slow down a bit but the downloadable one ran smoothly. Another older windows PC (2010) ran well for both the downloadable and the flash online version. But as I opened more windows and applications, performance started to drop.

And also it depends on the game. Those games using static sprites would run faster, but the customizability of the Final Slam 2 sprites would require more resources to display smoothly. It's a bit of a trade off for the Creator function and I understand it might put off some players. Had the same problem with the first Final Slam. Actually the first one was even worse, with a huge lag during the combos :D Have you tried it?

As for power moves, I have already set the key combo times to moderate, and as I mentioned to another reviewer, just tapping Down. Front. Punch. (using Turner) should give you an aura ball blast. Not too slowly, but not too fast. Try it with 1p vs 2p first...

Anyway thanks for the review.
