Great game ;)

One of the best games EVAR!!!!

atomic kick ass

God damn it! This game was so close! The core gameplay and concept works well, but all those tiny details are off. A few glitches there (reward chests), some poor enemy variety there (a good chunk of the game you only have five enemies which you quickly learn attack patterns and lose challenge), some poor upgrades (abilities that work similarly or accomplish nearly the same thing), a level curve all over the place (spend a minute at my first form, two hours on the next), and in upgrade games ESPECIALLY fish games people like to see the player character change in appearance to show increased power, just so you get the cool factor of starting out as a tiny shrimp and ending up as a sea monster.

The fish combat style works well, maybe a little slower but with harder difficulty to compensate so it's less swimming around randomly killing everything as soon as it comes in but something with more bullet-hell fishy style. Levels take advantage of all the (limited) variety of enemies in unique ways though sometimes fall short, such as the level with a bunch of advancing whales that are your only target. Get them all before they leave! Great idea if they weren't all coming straight towards you down a very long path. For some reason I like the very minimal standard flash storyline as it allows all type of crazy fishes while most other games stick to normal, actual fish. And the survival bonus levels are another great idea.

It's just too bad there are so many small flaws. I have an ad blocker on so the ad barely mattered, but it was an ass move there.
