Reviews for "I Quit! Must Dash!"

its ghud but i always get KILLED!!

Fun game! I like it!

Ended and loved it. Nice work!

Very well done. I like the quality of this game. Even though the game play is so simple, it makes up for great fun. I looks cool as well.

Now... the problems with this game:

1 - The background tune is fun, but it quickly becomes annoying.
2 - From a pixel art game you expect pixel-perfect collision, which doesn't work well in this game, leading to major frustration, because the levels and obstacles become tighter and tighter in space;
3 - Most of the obstacles are timed to catch you in the run. I know it's part of the challenge, but it's OVERUSED in this game. Every damn level you have to calibrate your jumps and wall hits maybe various times until you have room to pass by an obstacle. There was a level that could be easily passed in less than 15 seconds grabbing the payslip. Instead, it took forever because there was almost no room, many obstacles and a damn monster running on a tight platform. I had to guide the character through a frustrating and repetitive path until I found some space to jump and not get killed.

What would make this game even better:
1 - Some way to vary the character's speed a little bit;
2 - Better collision detection;
3 - More tunes or even a big one stating from random parts OR a softer ambient sound;
4 - Some type of "one chance save". For example: you can kill ONE monster or ONE missile on each level.

Why that? Because if you die, you have to go all the way from the beginning. It turns to be frustrating if the game has many levels and you want to play until the end.

Result: I won't play until the end because it's not challenging anymore. It's only the same thing as before, but tighter and tighter.

Anyway, thank you very much for this game. It's very fun, and if the player gets familiarized with the game's world dynamics, it will be fun until the end.

Good work.

Thanks for the really in-depth review, you raise a lot of great points and I'll definitely be considering all of them if (when!) I release an update/sequel.

this might be one of the hardest games i have played yet. the game seems to auto scroll which i can't say i care for but i understand why it was set up that way and i am ok with that.some more music might be nice and some sound effect but otherwise thank you, the game was fun for a good hour.
