Reviews for "Crimson Eve"

This was a nice and atmospheric point and click game, a whole new world to explore, atmospheric and subtle. I like the fact that you just need to hover over items to get a description of them, and click to use, much easier than the different tools you often switch between in games like this. The drawings are great, the sound spooky, the plot interesting as well. It wasn't such a long game either, though it took me waaay longer than it should've since I didn't find some of the more obligatory clues in the right order... actually had to hmm, shamed to say- consult the walkthrough. Great work through; good fun!

i want Sagittarian!

I might or might not like this game only because it's Hyptosis' work. Art side - amazing. Music - brilliant. Plot - well! It has lots of potential actually, but it's too short. 3.5/5 because there should be more characters, more puzzles and more... well everything!

Pros:
-Great artwork
-Nice music
-Very good, mood-setting atmosphere

Cons:
-Scant plot
-Very short
-Nonsensical puzzle in the crypt (seriously, I just pressed buttons randomly until it opened)
-Anti-climatic ending

Overall:
I'm a big fan of a lot of your previous projects, but I must say, this doesn't seem up to your usual standards. I am enjoying Pact a lot more, btw. Also greatly looking forward to the next installment of Sagittarian! Even though Crimson Eve was disappointing, you're a great game designer overall, and I'd like to encourage you to keep churning out quality stuff in the future.

Nice background music. Adequate art, but doesn't do a good job of world creating (if everyone is a halloween cartoon character, why is your character's sister in law human?) Pacing problem - discovering who the killer is should be the lead up to the climax, not part of the ending. Tension was built and not released.
