Reviews for "Tiny Dangerous Dungeons"

Id love to be able to duck, other than that its pretty good.Very well made.

AdventureIslands responds:

It was originally planned, but I didn't see enough use for it so I left it out.

Great nostalgic game. I didn't find it too hard, or the controls fritzy. It honestly felt just like Game Boy games used to feel - hard, but not too hard. The boss was also tough in the old school "exploit the character's weaknesses" way (WHY CAN'T I JUST SHOOT UP AAARGH).

And yeah, it's frustrating when the save point isn't right next to the boss. But the "I could play this part in my sleep now" feeling was expected in an era of games that would make you replay whole levels, or (god forbid) the whole game, if the boss killed you.

AdventureIslands responds:

That's what I'm talking about. This game is meant to invoke nostalgia on people who had and loved their game boys.

There is actually a medal awarded if you manage to complete the whole game without using a single save statue. Haha. 3 people have managed to pull it off.

This is a nice little game, very nostalgic. As others have said, a save before the boss would be *nice*, but not necessary. Wonderful job imitating the GameBoy!

For cripe sakes would it have been that hard to create a save right before the boss?? Game is that but that is my only complaint gets tedious to have to keep killing enemies before that point.

Great game! Good to see another entry in the Dangerous Dungeons series.

Played it all the way through. The boss reminded me a lot of Yakuza from Metroid Fusion, it behaves and attacks in almost exactly the same way. Not sure if that was the inspiration but if so, nice reference!
