Reviews for "Scott Pilgay"

if you want to talk about Scott pilgrim being shitty, why would you have the most overused garbage song on the internet being played in it? plus the animation was shitty.
the book had personal charm and the fact that you made fun of the guys drawings is childish and ridiculous. he attempted to do his best to create a comic book with the artistic skills he had and he did a decently good job at it.

also seeing how his comics got a movie means he had to do SOMETHING right! unlike this pile of trash.

Carbonwater responds:

Erhem, yes. Comics.

Oh also! Did you know this movie was based on a comic? Wha..? No way!

That fancy little bit of information in the credits. Yeah, shame you missed that.

So, since this movie is based on views in which aren't my own. Makes your review kinda useless, huh?

Should learn all the facts before you get so mad you have to go out there calling things 'trash', 'shitty' and 'garbage'.

Just a helpful little tip for next time. I know reviewing things are a hard thing to learn. But you'll get there someday kiddo. I believe in you.

It was funny but I don't like the name "Pilgay", it associates homosexuality with nonsense and absurdity

Carbonwater responds:

Because no one's every said 'gay' on the internet before without trying to reference homosexuality.

Honestly I'm suprised this only has 3 stars, as it stayed faithful to Max Gilardi's original comic (which is my favorite comic on his site by the way). Though i was waiting for Hotdiggedydemon to animate it, I guess this is fine too. The Ren and Stimpy music fit very well, along with the repetitive voices of characters. But the characters' mouths and overall lip syncing looked, well, creepy.

the girl with the blue hair isnt their 7 evil xs its ramonas evil xs

Scott Pilgrim series is a great one. I don't know how far you went, but I found it really good. Sure, the first issues may present more the characters in a stereotypical way, without any depth, but as the serie progress you get to see them in a more profound way, Scott in particular.

As for your animation, it was ok. You reused the same face over and over, I get your point, Bryan Lee O'Malley draws the same face over and over, but I'm not sure I agree with you. It's kind of an unique blend of manga and western comics. So while they do look somehow alike, it's not really the same.

Maybe you simply didn't like the concept of the serie? Anyway, that's fine, everyone entitled to their own opinions.
