Reviews for "Alien Splatter"

This is so Contra nostalgic it brings a tear to my eye. In a good way. I LOVE IT.

Yes, I think I will marry it, thank you very much!

SinclairStrange responds:

I give you my permission to marry it :P Haha.

god damn that enter key detection.... everything else works smoothly except for enter. But that is your pause key so it's particularly frustrating. Seriously, it starts out easy enough to learn how to play the game and the rest of the controls are super hot.

SinclairStrange responds:

How odd, enter seems to work ok for me...o.O I'll look into it

Really good game! It's not even that hard. No hole-gravitation like in Castlevenia. No respawning enemys like in Ninja Gaiden or anything else that would be unfair, but WHY IS THERE A PASSWORD SYSTEM!! THE GAME SHOULD REMBER MY PROGRESS. And don't come with that the old games didn't had one. The legend of Zelda had a safe feature and this was NES. When i lose all lives i just star back at the ending of the game so why don't have one. Better make a Level select where you have to unlock the levels.

My complain seems minor but i hated passwordsystems backthen and i hate them till today, they just SUCK.

SinclairStrange responds:

I'll admit I was a bit lazy and just used a password system but in a way it keeps with the "NES" vibe. I mean heck, most NES games didn't even have a password system and you had to play it through one sitting!

It's difficult compared to what people expect from flash games I feel. It's no "cut the rope."

wow, impressive, must have been a whole bunch of work.
also you catched the vibe of nes games really well.

SinclairStrange responds:

It took about a week worth of work. Glad you enjoyed the game!

Nice game, reminds me pretty much of contra, megaman and ninja gaiden. Good gameplay, nice levels. It brings noostalgia. The only downside is, what the music is the same track, looping over and over. And I hated this on some famicom games.(

SinclairStrange responds:

The music changes with new stages like they do in old NES games. I'm you glad other than the music :)
