Reviews for "Ancient Cosmos"

Flawless.

You are, without a doubt, one of the most talented animators I have ever seen. I ravenously await your next creation.

Oh I get it - the church are a bunch of sick aliens, who've come to kill us all. That's why i belive in SICENCE.Okay, sh*t aside.I actually enjoyed this(well, it IS a front page submission but still...the DONG!?).Animation was pixelated which by itself has the potential to anny me to death but you pulled it off...surprisingly.The sound was well...i'd say 80% because of no voice acting(nothing's prefect). It didn't lag on my pc, so a star there.I don't know if there's a "deeper" meaning but if there was - why would the scientist work FOR the pope?Even be worshipping him?No, science is the opposite if religion - it WATNS to be questioned(religion doesn't want that - it hates it).I also didn't get why would the scientist blow up the human's head and leave him with nothing but a brain and a tube with some life sustaining liquid. The brain should die there and the bleeding - that's no scientist.Oh, and what's that octo-alien(?) doing in there just smoking? And the (okay) reasearcher leaves his work undone.I also liked the souls, being attracted to the pope but answear those questions and it will be even better.

ught about the whole science and religion thing, my original idea did involve a lot of eastern european pseudo science though.

A long time ago I had a dream very similar to this, which I'm barely starting to remember now. In my dream it was the apocalypse, and I was strapped down on a table similar to this, and someone told me my only way out was through drilling a hole in my skull (trepanning). It was terrifying, especially since I was very young when it happened. Thanks for reminding me of that interesting dream.

Superb job on the pixel art, and your pixel lighting/shading is really good. The smooth and twitchy motions were well done and give it a good sense of animated style as well as it sets the creepy mood for the animation. The story was well told without any dialog, and comes off quite very enigmatic and ominous as I expect you wanted it to.

Great job on this overall, the retro pixelated animation style has got to be one of my favorites and you pulled it off marvelously, while also portraying a very thought provoking storyline and providing lots of symbolism. As for how I see it could be improved, at the scene where the scientist is marveling over the pyramid structure I think a silent chuckle while slightly looking angling his head higher up would've been a nice detail to add and make the scientist seem just that much more maddened by his quest. Other than adding that one small detail its hard for me to think of anything else you could add to make it better. Maybe I'm not the fairest and most unbiased reviewer but you got my 5/5.

This is so Amiga 500! Reminds me a lot of my childhood, playing Amiga games :D

O_O Oh Jesus God, this is very bizarre!!! and VERY WELL ANIMATED! =D
